Welcome Innsbruck - Winter 2019

W E L C O M E 109 an endorphin-laden day on alpine, cross-country or touring skis, a snap- py ride on a toboggan or a tranquil ride in a carriage, after a meditative hike through snowy worlds, or intimate hours of wellness pampering – at the end of the day, or a long time before it, for that matter, the short paths lead you to the pedestrian area. The forty-two boutiques, offering more than five hundred different brands, as well as the twen- ty-five cafés and restaurants, which leave no culinary desire unfulfilled and offer delicacies of the highest order, push the love of the special and extraordinary into the foreground. The businesses, most of them family-owned for generations, put particular emphasis on a special cus- tomer experience, with service quality being the top priority. This way of thinking perfectly corresponds with the concept of the Nordic Lifestyle, which is based on the philosophy of regarding a holi- day as a holistic experience for body, mind and soul. As a winter sport destination rich in tradition, the region combines state-of-the-art offerings with an organically grown infrastructure and belongs to the chosen circle of the Best of the Alps, the exclusive holiday destinations in the Alpine region. The membership in this sophisticated associa- tion is an acknowledgment of naturally grown structures, living cul- ture, sport, events and flourishing tourism. For more than twenty years, Seefeld, beside eleven other chosen areas in the five Alpine countries, has been serving as an ambassador for the Alpine region. T H E B E S T K I N D O F E N T E R T A I N M E N T Seefeld naturally offers a series of events outside the daily “events” pro- gramme, which is available to every individual guest and holidaymaker to choose what they wish from the full range of sports and leisure oppor- tunities. Every year in December, hundreds of international music fans meet in the region to get in the mood for Christmas with a varied pro- gramme, this year with Eva Lind, Semino Rossi, Petra Frey & die Grenaten on 11 and 12 December. On 18 January, Seefeld’s pedestrian zone will be transformed into a world of ice again, when the traditional Seefeld Snow Festival will take place with its sculptures carved from ice and snow. At the end of January, Seefeld and its thousands of enthusiastic spectators will once again become the Mecca of Nordic sports - the more intense competition of the Nordic Combined Triple will provide a special thrill. That and plenty more can be seen, heard and experienced in Seefeld. Further events can be found at https://seelect.at/events/.
