arkus ist Bergführer und Skilehrer in Innsbruck. Er verriet,
was er im wildromantischen Sellraintal so alles treibt. „Ent-
deckt habe ich vieles im Kühtai durch meine Tochter An-
ne, die jetzt sieben Jahre alt ist. Sie kann es sehr gut, will aber nicht
immer nur Ski fahren. Als fürsorglicher und naturverbundener Vater
komme ich jedem ihrer Wünsche nach und kümmere mich um ein
Programm in den Bergen.“ Die zwei sind daher oft im Kühtai; es ist
leicht erreichbar, die unberührte Natur gefällt beiden gut.
Rodeln
Die Rodelbahn startet neben der Drei-Seen-Bahn-Talstation und führt auf die Höhe vom Alpenrosenlift. Sie ist kostenlos, nachts immer beleuch-
tet, eine Einkehr lohnt sich am Ende der Bahn im „Graf-Ferdinand-Haus“. „Selbst mit meiner Kleinen kann ich dort spielend hinaufgehen, denn es
sind nur 230 Hm auf 2,5 km Fußweg“, erklärt Markus.
Tobogganing
The toboggan run starts next to the valley station of the lift ‘Drei-Seen-Bahn’.
It is free of charge, always illuminated at night and at the end of the path the restaurant ‘Graf-Ferdinand-Haus’ awaits you with traditional de-
lights. “The perfect option for my little daughter and me, as it is a kids-friendly 2.5 km long hike with a height difference of only 230 m,” tells us
Markus.
Eislaufen
„Sie fühlt sich jedes Mal wie eine kleine Prinzessin in den Bergen, wenn sie über den Eislaufplatz huscht“, strahlt Markus. Er liegt neben dem Hotel
Jagdschloss, in dem die Schlittschuhe ausgeliehen werden können. Abends ist der Platz beleuchtet, auch Eisstockschießen ist möglich. Eintritt:
2,50 Euro, Platzmiete für eine Stunde: 20 Euro.
Ice skating
“Every time I take her ice skating, she feels like a little mountain princess,” says Markus proudly.
The ice rink is located next to the hotel Jagdschloss, where skates can be rented as well. At night time, the rink is illuminated and also ice stick
shooting is possible. Entrance fee: € 2.5, Space rental fee for 1 hour: € 20.

arkus works as a mountain guide and ski instructor in Inns-
bruck. He told us what he likes doing in the romantic Sellrain
Valley. “I discoveredmost of the things thanks tomy 7-year-old
daughter Anne… She loves skiing and is quite good at it, but she also likes
to do other stuff. So I try to fulfil all her wishes and every now and then I
organize an exciting programme in the mountains – as any caring father
would.” Therefore the two of them spend a lot of time in Kühtai, as it is
quite easy to reach and they both love its stunning nature.
