Etwas außerhalb der Innsbrucker Innenstadt Richtung Flughafen wurde 2010 das Einkaufszentrum west eröffnet. Auf rund 16.200

Quadratmetern finden sich in der Höttinger Au 73 die verschiedensten Shops rund um Mode, Elektronik und Lebensmittel, umgeben

von feiner Architektur – optimal erreichbar mit den Öffis; wer mit dem Auto kommt, findet 420 Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage und parkt

bis zu drei Stunden gratis. Laufend finden im west auch Events statt, im mini-west sind die Kleinen gut aufgehoben.

foodstuff – WEST has got you covered. Easy reachable by public transport. Those who take the car will surely find a place for parking in

the underground car park with 420 parking spaces. Free of charge the first three hours! Plus: Events take place regularly and children

Alpenzoo // Alpine Zoo

Nicht nur Kinder lieben den Alpenzoo mit seinen rund 2.000 Tieren von 150 Arten. Der höchstgelegene Zoo Europas ist auch im Winter einen

Besuch wert, denn nur ganz wenige Tiere verschlafen die kalte Jahreszeit. Rauf geht’s entweder mit dem Bus oder der Hungerburgbahn, zu Fuß

braucht man ca. 20 Minuten von der Altstadt aus.

Also during winter time Europe’s highest-lying zoo is well worth a visit, as only a few animals hibernate. Take the bus or the Hungerburg cable

car to get up. By foot it takes you approximately 20 minutes.
