the early bird
„the early bird“ versteht sich seit nun bald 4 Jahren als Heimstätte für Livemusik abseits des
Mainstreams. Die stilistische Palette reicht dabei von Jazz über Rock bis hin zu Singer-Song-
writing. Auf der kleinen Bühne präsentieren sich neben Nachwuchsmusikern immer wieder
auch internationale Spitzenmusiker wie zum Beispiel Adam Holzman oder Jeff Hirshfield.
Mit seinem einzigartigen Konzept einer unkuratierten Bühne bietet the early bird von An-
fang September bis Ende Juni immer Mittwoch bis Freitag musikalische Überraschungen
und garantiert niveauvolle Unterhaltung im Kreise aufmerksamer Musikinteressierter jeden
Alters in einem fast schon familiären Wohnzimmer-Ambiente. Die Konzerte finden in der
Zeit von 21 bis 23 Uhr bei freiem Eintritt statt, es wird jedoch eine angemessene Spende für
die Musiker erwartet. Die gut sortierte Bar überzeugt mit über 50 internationalen Biersorten
und einer breiten Palette ausgesuchter Whiskys. Innstraße 55, Öffnungszeiten: Mittwoch
bis Freitag ab 19 Uhr – Sperrstunde nach Frequenz, Kulturprogramm von 21–23 Uhr.

almost 4 years now, “the early bird” has been the venue for live music away from the main-
stream. The stylistic spectrum ranges from jazz and rock to singer-songwriting. Newcomers in
the scene as well as international top artists such as Adam Holzman or Jeff Hirshfield present
themselves on stage. The early bird with its unique concept of an uncurated stage promises
musical surprises from the start of September to the end of June. Enjoy an informal atmos-
phere and interesting conversations with like-minded people every Wednesday to Friday. The
concerts take place between 9 and 11 pm. The entrance is free, however, donations for mu-
sicians are welcome. The well-stocked bar convinces with more than 50 international kinds

Ein Brot für Anpruggen // Bread for Anpruggen
Der neue EZEB-Krustenloab ist als Hommage an den Innsbrucker Stadtteil Anpruggen entstan-
den, wo die jüngste Filiale der Zillertaler Bäckerei beheimatet ist. Das Brot sollte ordentlich Pep
haben, knackig und würzig sein. Eine spezielle Gewürzmischung verleiht ihm einen einzigartigen
Geschmack. Sein Erfolgsrezept ist die einfache, ursprüngliche Backweise im speziellen Schwarz-
brotofen. Da ist viel Handarbeit drin – und das passt perfekt zum Handwerkerviertel Anpruggen. //
The bakery EZEB has developed a new type of bread as a tribute to Innsbruck’s district of Anpruggen,
where its newest branch is located. The so-called brown bread “Krustenloab” is crunchy and savoury
and gets its flavour from a secret spice mixture. It is baked traditionally in a special oven for brown
bread. A lot of manual work goes into it – typical for the artisans’ district of Anpruggen.
